The season is underway. What do we know?

So, the first Battle of Alberta was not as planned eh? Where do we even start with what happened.
The Oilers once again were behind 3 goals in a game that they just didn't start well in. Now you can go down 3 goals against a Vancouver or some lesser team. You cannot go down that early to a Flames team that will absolutely compete for a Pacific Division Title this year.
THE GAME
It started as many did last year, being down a goal! There was a buzz in the air and we were so excited to get the BOA underway! And it's 1-0. So much puck watching from the defence including Ryan Murray (who we will get to later) and the puck gets banged in. Ceci then ties the game with a great shot after a hard working shift by the 2nd line. Then it goes down hill. Campbell gets screened, Murray gets beat bad and Kulak falls down. It is 4-1. Now the Oil did battle back to a one goal game and almost tied it at the end with the goalie pulled. It was a good game all in all but honestly, this Oilers team is way better than giving up the first goal every game and being down 3 goals all the time. At some point you have to out work teams and figure out how to get that first goal of the game.
There are some positives though, they did get it back to a 1 goal game and only lost 4-3. It is the 2nd game of the year so you do have 80 games left! It is quite early in the season so things will go up and down throughout the course of the season. The goalie situation is an interesting one as well.

SKINNER
Jack Campbell was brought in to give stability to the Oilers goaltending woes over the years. He had a bit of a rough start on Wednesday vs the Canucks but rebounded nicely to win the game. The game on Saturday wasn't entirely his fault. Sure he could've had better rebound control on the first one and could've been in a better spot on the Stone goal but he was screened. Him getting pulled wasn't on him as much as it was on the team to play better in front of him. NOW, Stuart Skinner played very well in relief of Soup. Stopping all 31 shots he faced and giving the Oilers a chance to get back into the game.
DYK that dating back to last year, Skinner has a 133:26 shutout streak! Pretty crazy! It's also crazy that he hadn't played a game since he shutout the Sharks 3-0 last year. It shows how much of a grip Mike Smith had on the starter job last year (for some reason) He played so well that he has earned the start vs the Sabres tomorrow night. Here were the practice lines this morning but again these could change tomorrow before the game.
Kane - McDavid - Yamamoto
Hyman - Draisaitl - Puljujärvi
Holloway - RNH - Foegele
Shore - McLeod - Ryan
Malone
Nurse - Ceci
Murray - Bouchard
Kulak - Barrie
Skinner - Campbell
The top 6 has been jumbled around for 2 games and it looks like the blender is out again. We will see what kind of start the Oilers have tomorrow night. They need to start quicker obviously or they will be behind again. But what else would be new!
Other news, Connor Mcdavid is the 2nd star of the week in the NHL wth 5 points in two games! Including 4 goals. Also the Oilers will be wearing their alternate jerseys for tomorrows game vs Buffalo.
QUESTION
Who scores first tomorrow? Does Skinner extend his shutout streak? Lets all find out together!
