Kenny Holland made some moves!

What a day, what a day! Coming into the trade deadline, the Oilers were looking for a couple of things. A winger to play with McDavid and also a depth d-man. Well they got them and 1 more!

WHAT WE GOT:

Andreas Athanasiou.

Here is a guy who is FAST! A guy who can play with McDavid and who is a guy who has scored 30 goals before. Never mind what has happened this year. He is a -45 and really hasn't put up the numbers he did last year. That being said he played on Detroit who is a -110 as a team. YIKES! Everybody who has played on that team has been an underachiever. The upside is he is obviously fast and is crafty with the puck. Plus he scores 30 goal last year and playing McDavid for sure will bump his numbers up!

Also with AA he is a RFA after this year so the Oilers have his rights. Say he puts up 10-15 goals with Edmonton you can look at him as being a guy who will sign here in the offseason.

Tyler Ennis.

The 30 year old Edmonton native has 14 goal and 19 assist this year for a Sens team who has been selling off guys left and right. He is a guy who can play anywhere. 1st to 4th lines, powerplay, penalty kill and can put up numbers. Once a 20 goal scorer with Buffalo is near those same numbers this year. I love this pick up and he is cheap at 800K.

Mike Green.

With the news of Kris Russell going on LTIR the Oilers needed another defensemen for a playoff run. Yes Mike Green isn't the Mike Green of old but he can still pass the puck well and can be on the Power play if you need it. I like this move as depth espcially once Klefbom comes back.

LINES (with everybody healthy)!

AA - McDavid - Kassian

Nuge - Draisaitl - Yamo

Archibald - Sheahan - Ennis

Chiasson - Haas - Neal

Nygard/Khaira

Klefbom - Larsson

Nurse - Bear

Benning - Green

Jones

Now obviously you can move Neal up if you want and slot in Nygard for Haas. This is a really nice Lineup going into the Playoffs.

What did you think of the deadline? No enough? Just the right amount?
