Shark Hunting/Tyler Benson is in!

Tonight the Oilers take on one of the most disappointing teams in the league. The Sharks (23-27-4) have really been bad this year. It has started in net and just gotten worse (I just know they are going to win 8-1 because of this).

LINES

Archibald - McDavid - Gagner

RNH - Draisaitl - Yamamoto

Khaira - Sheahan - Kassian

Benson - Haas - Chiasson

Klefbom - Larsson Nurse - Bear Lagesson - Benning

Koskinen

Kane - Goodrow - Marleau Meier - Thornton - Labanc M. Karlsson - True - Noesen Sorenson - Letunov - Gambrell

Dillon - Burns Vlasic - E. Karlsson Simek - Ferraro

Dell

Some things to note, Kassian has been moved down to the 3rd line in what Coach Tip is calling just "some tweaking". Lagesson is in for Caleb Jones and finally Tyler Benson gets his shot! The Edmonton native Benson has played great in the AHL this season putting up 9 goals and 26 assists for 35 points. He is just 21 years old and was drafted in the 2nd round in 2016 by the Oil. Lets see what the kid can do!

For the Sharks, Kevin Lebanc has been an Oilers killer and we all know about their offensively gifted blue line. Eric Karlsson leads the team in points with just 37 while Brent Burns is right behind him with 34. One other thing to note, congrats to Jumbo Joe Thornton for notching his 1500th point vs Calgary!

WHAT I THINK

I say the Oilers get suspect goal tending but still pull put the win. The 2nd line stays hot and Gagner scores while on the top line. 6-4 final for the Oilers.
