Well, where do we start?
Ok let's start with this, the Oilers won twice over the weekend. Beating the defending Stanley Cup Champion Blues 4-2 and then 8-3 over the Flames. That is the most important part, because it keeps the Oilers in a playoff spot in a tight Pacific.
In both games the Oilers started really well. A couple of quick goals in both and the goaltending was content. Thats all it really has to be. Also the Oilers outshot the Blues 35-32 and the outshot the Flames 49-26. It is something I have been screaming about all year. They need to get more shots on goal and they are starting to do that.
NOW FOR SOME FUN
The battle of Alberta was back in action last night and was it ever back! Things seemed pretty tame to begin with, as was to be expected I think, especially after last game. The Oilers & Flames first little tustle was Jujhar Khiara & some fan named Charles "Buddy" Robinson. Then the fun stuff happened. Sam Gagner going hard into the net because why tf not! Cam Talbot did not like that and they had a nice kerfuffle. That lead into Ethan Bear going at it against a ninja turtle. Of course we all know what happened after that.
I need this playoff matchup injected into my veins! Good weekend for the Oilers and on to Arizona.
